Don has over 40-years of experience working in Family Law. Early in his legal career he worked in the Santa Barbara County District Attorneys office and the Santa Barbara City Attorneys office. Before shifting his focus and devoting the majority of this time to Family Law, he worked for several years as a Criminal Defense Attorney. During his Criminal Law Practice, he was Trial Counsel for more than twenty Jury Trials. He also served for a number of years as a Small Claims Judge on a volunteer basis.

Don received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from UCLA and is a graduate of Pepperdine School of Law.

Don has participated in several triathlons and is an avid cyclist. He is active in donating his time to the community through volunteering as a pilot for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Aero-Squadron and is also a member of Aero-Medicos. Don is a commercial and instrument rated pilot.
